Me, a long holiday... or is it?

I've given birth to my second child Alana Imtiaz Az Zahra on 6th of February 2010. That is actually almost a month earlier than when she's suppose to born. Anyway, since I've given birth I'm entitled to a 60 days maternity leave.

Well it's a long holiday if you look at the number of days. Yet it seems so short since there's a lot for me to do. I have one program to organize, one paper to write and not to forget one research to finish. Oh... and a special project to be finished. I just hope I can do them all and by the time I finish my holiday I'll be free of these commitments and I can continue resting a bit.

 My first time boarding a flight is to Sydney Australia. Never in my wildest dream to cross the oceans to live outside Malaysia for one and a half years. But it happened.. It really did happen. Our love nest...

We moved in to our houseabout a year ago. It was around two weeks before Raya. At first we thought of making it our holiday home since my husband still had his contract as hostel fellow in UNIMAS. But once we stepped in to the house we know immediately that this is our place. And we decided to move in straight away. There's a story behind the house actually... As other couple plan properly how they will b uy their house and how they are going to finance their house etc., it is a totally different case for me and my husband. Makan @ Samarinda

Bismillahhirrahmannirrahim..... Samarinda, part 2. Let us talk about my favourite topic. Food. I dunno why but everytime I write food would be my chosen topic. Anyway... Samarinda like any other place in Indonesia have a lot of dishes that you need to try. Well I didn't try everything but I did sample some of the best dishes there. We started our culinary adventure in a place (some sort of RnR) along the way from Balikpapan to Samarinda. The place is famous with "Tahu Sumedang". What is tahu sumedang? It is actually fried beancurd that you eat with a special sauce and very tiny and very hot chillies. There my hubby ordered his first "sup buntut" or actually oxtail soup with rice. The soup was so nice I feel like asking the chef for the recipe. As for me, I prefer "ikan mas goreng".
